-
- Thats the best move I believe, scrap the hardware (its relative crap nowadays)
- make the Amiga system hardware independent (you can't just port the OS you have to
- make the whole thing independant or you won't be able to use things that work
- UNDER the OS like AMOS)
- AT are making the wrong move with trying to design hardware for the amiga when
- they should be making the amiga designed for other hardware. Why reinvent the wheel?
-
- The hardware AT is designing and manufacturing is available off the shelf in a
- different format. If they invested the money they are spending on the design
- of the hardware into a hardware independent amiga software that can use this
- different format to their advantage.
-
- Imagine an amiga running on a dec-alpha or even a Cray! :-) All the bits and
- pieces are there (graphics, sound, processor power, RF/AV modulators) the works.
-
- All that is required is to redesign the software (It'll be difficult, agreed, but
- you will be using the competitors weapons against it once you are finished)
